News St John of God Foundation launches Better Life Spring Raffle The St John of God Foundation has launched a new digital fundraising initiative, the Better Life Spring Raffle, designed to support essential services for children and adults living with intellectual disabilities and mental health challenges. The weekly online raffle will directly benefit three services, Suzanne House, Alexandra Manor and Carmona Community Services, helping to fund vital care, programmes and supports that make a meaningful difference in people’s lives every day. This new initiative reflects a shift in how charities are engaging with supporters, moving towards more accessible, digital first ways to connect with communities while building sustainable income streams. Supporting real impact Funds raised through the Better Life Spring Raffle will go directly towards enhancing services across the three centres, supporting areas such as: Specialist care and therapeutic supports Respite services for families Community programmes that promote independence and wellbeing Improvements to facilities and living environments These supports play a critical role in improving quality of life for those who rely on these services and their families. A new approach to fundraising As traditional fundraising methods become more challenging, the Foundation is introducing this weekly raffle to complement existing campaigns and create a more consistent and predictable source of funding. By offering a simple way to take part online each week, the initiative aims to: Build ongoing engagement with supporters Reach new audiences across communities and workplaces Encourage regular participation through a low cost, accessible format This model also supports longer term donor relationships, helping to create stronger pathways for future giving.
