Over the last two years, the AIB Community €1 Million Fund has supported over 150 charities across Ireland. Earlier this year, AIB asked its customers, the wider public, and staff to again nominate registered charities, that connect with causes that matter most to them and their communities. This year, Suzanne House was nominated and it has just been awarded €6,500 as part of the 2024 AIB Community €1 Million Fund.

Suzanne House is a children's respite centre based in Dublin. Suzanne House provides 24 hour care throughout the year to children living with an intellectual disability and complex medical needs. It is a very special place.

Speaking about receipt of the award, Roisin McGarry, Clinical Nurse Manager 2, at Suzanne House said: “We are thrilled to receive this funding from the AIB Community €1 Million Fund, which is crucial for maintaining the services we offer to our community. AIB's ongoing support for local organisations is invaluable, and we have witnessed the positive impact on other local groups that received funding last year.”

“The public’s nomination makes this particularly special for us. It’s touching because it shows that our efforts in the community are being acknowledged. Thank you to everyone who is involved in Suzanne House and a special thanks to AIB for setting up this important fund.”
